Knights of Columbus 126
Pipes and Drums

The
New York Knights
of Columbus #126 Pipes & Drums Band was formed in April of
1991. Over the past sixteen years, numerous honors
have been bestowed upon us through a variety of performances throughout
New York Central/South Jersey, and Connecticut. Appearances include
Shea Stadium for the NY Mets, Keyspan Park,(home of the Brooklyn
Cyclones, a farm team of the N.Y. Mets), the N.Y.S.
Knights of Columbus Convention, the N.Y.C. St Patrick’s Day
Parade (annually), the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Dublin, Ireland on
March 17th, 2002, and BB King's House of Blue's in NYC.
A
number of top finishes
in various
parades throughout the New York, New Jersey and
Connecticut area have been
taken by the band. The Band was honored to be recognized as the best
Pipe and Drum band in the 2006 New York City St. Patrick's Day Parade.
Please visit the awards section of this
website for a listing.
We also pride ourselves on being a teaching band. Many of our
current members came to us with nothing but a desire to
learn. These individuals are now active, playing members of
our corps. So if you have a desire to learn and are in the
Brooklyn, N.Y. area or are willing to travel, please check out the New Members
page of this website for contact information.

Our
goal is to
continually improve the band sound and to have fun while we are
growing. The band has a strong focus on improvement and development and
has two excellent and experienced instructors to help provide coaching
and support.
We
are people
of all ages, walks of life and
national descent bound by our love for the music of
the Pipes and Drums. The Band performs several dozen times a
year for a variety of events and practices weekly in order to maintain
and improve its standard of performance. A high communal spirit,
endless good times, and above all, the joys of achievement are the
reward of hours of dedicated practice. New members are always welcome!
